'Pokemon Z' Release Date Rumors: 'Pokemon Z' Arriving With 'Pokemon GO' But When?
The latest rumor about the next role-playing game of the "Pokemon" series called "Pokemon Z" says that the game will come bundled with another much-awaited "Pokemon" game, "Pokemon GO." According to a report in MoviePilot, earlier rumors about an early 2016 release for both games have been debunked, mainly because "Pokemon GO" will just be finishing its beta after the New Year and "Pokemon Z" has yet to be officially announced by Nintendo so the chances of it being released without such an announcement is nil.
"Pokemon Z," in the absence of a Nintendo announcement, has been teased in the December CoroCoro Comic issue, a popular Japanese manga magazine. What was revealed was not so much about the game itself but rather more about a legendary Pokemon called Zygarde, who was featured in previous game "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y," and looks to be the main Pokemon in the upcoming "Pokemon Z." Zygarde is a Pokemon who is said to exist in five different forms namely Cell, Core, 10% Form, 50% Form and Complete Form, according to MoviePilot. This legendary and mysterious Pokemon is currently featured in the anime series "Pokemon XY & Z" which is currently airing in Japan.
MoviePilot, in an earlier report, debunked rumors that the games will release in December 2015 and even February 2016. Citing Nintendo's cycle for announcing and releasing new games, it noted that a formal announcement, via a teaser trailer or via a Nintendo Direct episode, usually comes first. The release of the game comes many months after, which can be anywhere between 6 to 9 months. It is also unlikely that Nintendo will simply release a game without any announcement so a "Pokemon Z" February release is not possible.
"Pokemon GO," on the other hand, has been announced. If reports are true and this mobile game is indeed going to be released with "Pokemon Z," even a February release is far off. It was reported in December that the game is still in its beta phase which will not be finished until after the New Year.
