Prince William and Kate Middleton News: Christmas Day Service With Royals and Kate's Family
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the royal family for the annual Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church.
Just before 11am, the Queen, wearing a bright pink coat and hat, made her way to church along with other members of the royal family including Prince Philip, Prince Harry, Prince Charles, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, and others.
Prince William and the Duchess walked hand in hand from Sandringham House where they spent they had spent the morning. The Duchess was dressed in a long brown tweed coat with a matching brown pillbox hat and gloves. Her parents, Carole and Mike Middleton, as well as her siblings Pippa and James also joined the royal family at the annual church service.

Notably missing was the Duke and Duchess' son, Prince George, who was rumored to attend the service with his parents, but palace officials said that this was highly unlikely, adding that most children usually attend starting at the ages of 4 or 5. A source tells Us Magazine that the 17-month old went to church last Sunday, Dec. 21, where he attended a candlelit service at Anmer Church with his parents.
At noon, the royals stopped to greet the crowd that has gathered outside the church. The Duchess was given bouquets of flowers, and she was overheard apologizing to one onlooker for not bringing Prince George.
"I'm sorry we didn't bring George but you would have heard him in the church," she reportedly said.
Though it is tradition for the royals to gather at Sandringham after the service for a Christmas lunch with the Queen, Prince William and the Duchess chose to have lunch at their Norfolk home with the Middletons.
