Prince William, Kate Middleton Baby News: Duchess of Cambridge Hides Baby Bump in Solo Outing
Duchess Kate Middleton recently made her first solo public appearance since her third pregnancy announcement.
The princess looked in high spirits as she was headed to the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton on Tuesday. Kate attended her latest public appearance in an unusual athletic attire, hiding her burgeoning baby bump.
Kate arrived at the venue around 11 a.m. and sported a matching track jacket and pants. She also donned new Nike sneakers and pulled her hair back in a ponytail. The Duchess was greeted by the association's leaders at the center's entrance before playing with the children.
During the event, Kate took part in a Tennis for Kids session — a program that encourages young kids to play the brunette royal's favorite sport. The expecting mom has been a Lawn Tennis Association patron since last year. An avid tennis player, Kate even has a court at her country house in Norfolk.
"It was good and fun. She's lovely. It was great to see her passion for tennis and that she was here to learn about these great programs being run by the LTA," tennis pro Johanna Konta, who was also at the event, said of the Duchess. "Every little girl and almost every boy wants to meet a princess, and it got them very excited."
The Kensington Palace announced in early September that Kate was pregnant again. Unfortunately, her usual morning sickness had started again, which forced her to cancel multiple planned public engagements. She even missed her firstborn Prince George's first day of school.
Kate is due to give birth in April 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital, where she previously gave birth to her two children. The gender of their latest bundle of joy is still unkown, but the excited parents reportedly want to keep it as a surprise. Her third baby with Prince William joins their two other kids: Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.
