Rapper Overdose: Chris Kelly From Kriss Kross Died From Drug Overdose (VIDEO)
Rapper Chris Kelly died of an overdose, a medical examiner's investigator has reported this week.
Chris Kelly of the 90's rap duo Kriss Kross died of a drug overdose in May, according to Investigator Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office in Atlanta.
Honey explained that a toxicology screening showed the 34 year old rapper had a mixture of drugs in his system when he was pronounced dead on May 1.

The investigator, however, did say that although it was clear Kelly died of an overdose, she did not know which specific drugs were in Kelly's system at the time of his death.
A previous police report has revealed that Kelly's own mother had reported to investigators that her son had used both cocaine and heroine the night before he died. She also admitted that he had a history of drug abuse.
Chris Kelly was one half of the hugely popular 90's rap duo, Kriss Kross. Kelly was known by the rap name "Mac Daddy" and performed alongside Chris Smith, who was known as "Daddy Mac."
The pair's biggest hit by far was their song "Jump" from the 1992 debut album "Totally Krossed Out." "Jump" was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and certified double platinum as a single.
Kris Kross was also noted for their fashion style, which consisted of wearing their clothing backwards.
On May 1, 2013, Chris Kelly was found unresponsive in his Atlanta home. Kelly was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. local time on the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center; he was 34 years old.
The police report documents Pratte's statement that "they had brought Kelly home to recover from his drug use and had done this several times in the past," and his uncle told police Kelly "had an extensive history of drug abuse."
