'Ray Donovan' Season 4 News: Lisa Bonet is Latest Cast Addition; Is it the End of the Terry-Abby-Ray Storyline?
The upcoming season of "Ray Donovan" is packed with action and drama not only because television's most adored fixer has finally revealed a big portion of his past that ultimately changed his life but because a lot of changes will be depicted such as the end of the Terry-Abby-Ray controversy and the addition of a new major character.
In an interview last year, showrunner David Hollander explained how he sees the upcoming season in the threesome circle. As fans already know, something had been going on between Terry (Eddie Marsan) and Abby (Paula Malcolmson), though Hollander says the former will always regret having to kiss Abby.
Abby, on the other hand, has been sad and lonely for quite some time and she has also been involved in the drama of Ray's (Liv Schreiber) life, and though it has yet to be revealed how Abby will handle the conscience of almost getting romantically involved in an affair with Terry, Hollander said the flirtation won't continue in season 4.
For some fans, the short fling between Terry and Abby was one of the most spectacular openings for the shocking ending. It turned out that Terry thought one of the reasons he got shot in the finale was because of his short-lived affair with Abby. While some fans think the love triangle should continue to bring in more drama to season 4, Hollander and the team may have other plans.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Lisa Bonet will be joining the cast this season. According to TV Line, Bonet has been cast for the role of Marisol. The character is another amazing addition to the already twisted cast as she will be displaying an unstable personality and has a secret that could possibly affect the rest of the cast in a shocking way.
Bonet is known for her performance in "The Cosby Show." She also has a Young Artist Awardee and an Emmy nomination. While it is unclear how exactly she will be connected to Ray, it's clear that whatever secret she has will most probably make the connection with the latter's experiences.
"Ray Donovan" season 4 is expected to release sometime in 2016 on Showtime.
