Razer, the world's leading company in high-performance gaming, or so they claim, are reportedly developing a device specifically for online mobile gaming. The news comes after their decision to purchase Nextbit, a mobile company.

In an interview with CNBC's Managing Asia last week, Chief Executive Officer of Razor Min-Liang Tan confirmed that the rumors are true and that they are currently developing a device for gamers and entertainment. Tan said that they are still working on it and that they are hoping they could complete it before the year ends. Tan said that the mobile market remains the focus area of investment of the company.

"I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specifically geared towards gamers and entertainment," Razer CEO informed CNBC. "We are hoping to have it come by the end of the year, so that's something we're working on."

Although the rumor has been a tall tale story around the Web, the fact is the reports started to circulate since July. It is also interesting to note that Razer acquired THX, a company known for manufacturing high fidelity audiovisual standards. The company can use THX's IPs to develop a unique device that can offer an audiovisual experience for films and shows.

Also, Razer has acquired both Ouya, a console developer, and Nextbit, a smartphone maker. With such facilities on hand, gamers should only expect a mobile device entirely dedicated to entertainment.
