'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Porsha Williams Arrested After Speeding
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reality star Porsha Williams was arrested on Monday, Dec. 29 for allegedly speeding in Atlanta.
According to TMZ, the Bravo star was driving on a suspended license. The 33-year old was arrested allegedly for doing a 78 in a 55mph zone and was taken into police custody after they learned that she has been driving on a suspended license. She was taken to jail, booked and released after posting $1,726 bond.
Williams talked about the incident on Monday night, and she told Dish Nation, "I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over. I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused."

This was the second time this year that Williams was booked by the police. In April, she was charged with simple misdemeanor battery from an incident that occurred during the taping of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion wherein she attacked Kenya Moore.
In a statement to E! News, Williams' rep said, "Cast member Kenya Moore sought out the warrant, and although the claim is unfounded, Ms. Williams is fully cooperating with investigators and looks forward to clearing her name." She voluntarily appeared for processing at the Fulton County jail, posted bond, and was released.
Though Williams did not stay long in jail last Monday, several media outlets have gotten hold of her mugshot which shows the reality star smiling, with little to no makeup on her face and her hair down in waves.
Of her recent arrest, Williams said, "Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released. I have my license, my car and my freedom."
