'Recovery of an MMO Junkie' Episode 5 Spoilers: Is Moriko About to Be Found Out?

Has Yuta Sakurai just uncovered Moriko Morioka's biggest secret on the Japanese romance-comedy anime series, "Recovery of an MMO Junkie"?

The previous episode saw Moriko's in-game character Hayashi talking about an experience that sounded much too familiar for Yuta, who, in turn, happens to be the gamer behind the female conductor, Lily.

And although Moriko took care to switch the genders around, it didn't take Yuta long to figure out that all this time, he has been talking with the woman who has constantly rejected his invitations in real life.

Of course, Yuta may choose to take a step back and find a way to confirm his suspicion beyond any doubt. However, now that his co-worker Homare Koiwai seems to have also taken quite an interest in Moriko, Yuta needs to act fast before it becomes too late.

How will he decide to confront Moriko about his suspicion? Will he take another shot at inviting her out, or will he take advantage of their in-game closeness and ask Moriko as Lily instead?

Then again, how will he explain how he knew? Will it not be better to just maintain their uncomplicated in-game relationship as Hayashi and Lily? Or has finding out the true identity of the dashing game hero just turned him off?

Furthermore, Moriko has also met a new acquaintance in the convenience store clerk, Kazuomi Fujimoto, who also happens to play "Fruits de Mer." What role will he be playing in Moriko's eventual recovery from her current MMO addiction?

The preview for the next episode titled "Secret Triangle" teases some complications in "Fruits de Mer," as Yuta continues to process the truth behind Hayashi's surprising identity.

"Recovery of an MMO Junkie" airs on Mondays late night at 1:40 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
