'Red Dead Redemption 2' Rumors: Rockstar Games Preparing for Game Sequel's Marketing Campaign

Although the exact release date of "Red Dead Redemption 2" remains unknown for now, rumors claim that Rockstar Games may already be preparing for its marketing campaign to hype up the arrival of the highly anticipated game sequel.

When Rockstar announced "Red Dead Redemption 2" last year, it originally slated the game for a fall 2017 release. However, to the dismay of some fans, the game developer eventually announced last May that the game sequel cannot be expected to hit the store shelves earlier than spring next year.

According to recent rumors, the game developer may already be preparing for the launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2" as some fans alleged that Rockstar has, supposedly, launch an online survey, asking the respondents various questions related to the game. As the supposed survey does not mention anything about what the game will come with, it is now suspected that Rockstar may just be testing the waters before launching their marketing campaign for "Red Dead Redemption 2."

"How much communication have you seen or heard about Red Dead Redemption 2," and "How likely are you to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2," are two of the questions asked in the alleged survey.

However, since Rockstar usually does not engage in massive marketing promotions on the games it releases, thanks to the company's popularity, it is suggested that the alleged survey may not be in existence after all. Hence, just like the many things that find their way online, the supposed survey on "Red Dead Redemption 2" must be taken with a grain of salt for now.

Meanwhile, other sources suggest that it is possible for "Red Dead Redemption 2's" arrival to be delayed anew. While it is likely for the game to arrive in April next year, it is said that there is also a possibility for it to be delayed again as it may not be completed before spring 2018 arrives.
