'Reign' Season 2 Episode 3 Plot: Lord Narcisse on Path to Revenge
"Reign" is an American historical fiction television series created by Stephanie SenGupta and Laurie McCarthy. The series revolves around the early years of Mary, Queen of Scots in 1557 France and is aired on The CW network.
The series is already on its second season which premiered Oct. 2 earlier this month. Episode 3 is scheduled to air on The CW on October 16 and is titled "Coronation." It would seem that the previous episode which saw the queen struggling with the plague problem in France wasn't the brunt of her worries.
Aside from the plague sweeping across France, it would seem that the monarchy will have to deal with another issue: famine. However, it doesn't look as simple as that.
Other factors are at play and she will have to think about the power that Lord Narcisse holds. While the government is looking for a way to solve the issues spreading throughout the land, Narcisse only has revenge on his mind and he won't stop until he gets what he wants. Mary and the others might want to watch out for that.
The next episode's synopsis reads as follows and might give you further insight on what might happen in "Coronation."
"With France in a state of famine, as well as religious and political unrest, Mary looks for a way to feed the people, risking the wrath of a vengeful Lord Narcisse. Francis is preoccupied by the harrowing suspicion that his dead father's spirit can possess the living and is haunting Francis as revenge for his murder. As Catherine makes excessive and lavish preparations for a coronation ceremony to give the impression of stability to the realm, Bash confronts the reality of a country plagued by feat, bankruptcy, and murder," the summary reads.
