'Resident Evil 7' News: More Details on 'Not a Hero,' 'End of Zoe' DLCs Revealed

Two new downloadable content (DLC) packs will be released for "Resident Evil 7" in December.

"Not a Hero" and "End of Zoe" are on the way to the horror video game, according to reports. Capcom offered a closer look at the upcoming add-ons by launching a new trailer that teases what lies ahead for Chris Redfield and Zoe Baker once the DLCs officially arrive later this year.

"End of Zoe" is the final installment of the season pass story content for the game. This enigmatic add-on features Joe, a mysterious outdoorsman who resides along the bank of the marshes. He crosses paths with Zoe and their meeting unexpectedly set "both their fates in motion." Although things do not look quite sunny for Zoe based on her condition in the clip, having some closure on her character means good news for fans.

Meanwhile, "Not a Hero" is set following the "horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." Chris Redfield embarks on a mission to find Lucas Baker and put an end to the Baker tragedy. The official description also hints that Chris' fellow BSAA operatives have failed in their efforts to cross Lucas, noting, "Can Chris save the team while also tracking down Lucas through perilous poison gas filled dungeons?"

Newcomers to the game can grab a copy of the "Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition" as well. Included in this version are "End of Zoe" as well as two previously released premium DLC packs: "Banned Footage Volume 1 and 2."

Although "Not a Hero" was initially scheduled to roll out earlier this year, Capcom was forced to push it back to a later date because it "was not good enough to meet those high expectations" after the base game's successful launch.

Both "End of Zoe" and "Not a Hero" DLC will be available on Dec. 12 on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. "Resident Evil 7" Gold Edition is scheduled to arrive on the same day.
