'Riverdale' Season 1 Episode 8: Jughead's Connection to Southside Serpents Revealed
The first season of The CW's "Riverdale" has kept its viewers glued to their screens since it made its debut in January. However, after seven weeks of following the unraveling of the mystery behind the death of Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines), the Archie Comics-inspired series will be taking its first hiatus and will not be returning until Thursday, March 30, for its eighth episode.
In the previous seventh episode of "Riverdale" titled "In a Lonely Place," the Blossoms and the Coopers found themselves in a complicated race to track down a pregnant Polly (Tiera Skovbye). Betty (Lili Reinhart) found her sister hiding in the attic of their house. Though Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) initially offered to help take care of Polly with her parents' assistance, she decided against it and Polly ended up moving in with the Lodges instead.
On the other hand, Jughead's father F.P. (Skeet Ulrich) got a job with Fred's (Luke Perry) construction company in an effort to get his life back together for his son Jughead (Cole Sprouse). At the end of the episode, F.P. had officially joined the audience's list of suspects behind Jason's murder when it was revealed that he had Jason's jacket in his trailer.

In the upcoming eighth episode of "Riverdale" season 1, Archie and his friends will find themselves in Southside Serpent territory after one of them gets attacked while on a construction job.
The official synopsis of the upcoming episode published by SpoilerTV reads:
"As Fred and his crew are about to start construction he loses his crew, which could put his livelihood in jeopardy. Wanting to help his dad, Archie (KJ Apa) and his friends pitch in to help but after one of them is attacked, the gang comes up with a plan that lands them in Southside Serpent territory. With Jughead's secret revealed, he is worried about how his friends will react. Meanwhile, Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty suggest throwing Polly a baby shower to make her feel better, but Polly is hesitant knowing how everyone feels."
A teaser trailer for "Riverdale" season 1 episode 8 has also been released. The trailer opens with Hermione (Marisol Nichols) telling her daughter Veronica about the generational feud between the Coopers and the Blossoms. Penelope (Nathalie Boltt) and Alice (Mädchen Amick) are shown to have a very loud verbal confrontation about Polly's living condition. The gang also finds out about F.P.'s association with the Southside Serpents.
"Riverdale" season 1 will return for its eighth episode on Thursday, March 30, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
