Rob Kardashian Spotted at Gym Amid Sizzurp Concerns; Does He Need Rehab? (PHOTOS)

Rob Kardashian was recently photographed leaving a Los Angeles gym amid reports claiming his family is pushing for rehab.

The sock designer, 27, admittedly gained a substantial amount of weight in recent months, however, he appears to be making efforts to improve his health. On Wednesday, the reality star was spotted leaving a gym after a work out and Gunnar Peterson, who is his personal trainer, recently opened up about his weight loss plan.

"He's getting it done. He works hard, and I love having him in here. He's no stranger to the grind," Peterson told Us magazine.

On Thursday reports claimed Rob's family has grown concerned about his health and well being due to his alleged drug-use, according to TMZ.com.

TMZ released photos of the E! star at what was described as a "drug-fueled" party and he is pictured with a white cup that has "Codeine Boys" emblazoned on it. Insiders claim the reality star has been smoking marijuana and drinking sizzurp, which is a dangerous codeine-enhanced cough syrup drink.

"Rob needs professional help but is unwilling to get it. He doesn't believe in therapy or rehab, even though his family and friends have urged him to get support for his weight struggles," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He has been isolating and when he got to Kim's rehearsal dinner in Paris, he had a panic attack and was freaking out," the source explained.

On May 24 Rob abruptly left Italy ahead of his sister Kim's wedding to Kanye West and his absence from the wedding raised concerns. At the time insiders claimed he opted not attend the nuptials due to a family dispute.

"Kris and Khloe tried to convince him to stay but once he made up his mind to leave, no one could convince him otherwise. He got mad at his family for not taking his panic attacks seriously," the source said.

"No one really made an issue of his weight gain. In fact, he was the one who kept saying, 'I am a loser,' 'I am embarrassing the family' … he was making it all about him, when in reality no one cared, they were just happy that he made it to Paris," the insider added.

Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner previously opened up about her only son's personal struggles during an appearance on the "Today" show.

"Rob is working on himself," Jenner said. "He's going to be okay. A lot of prayer and, you know, he's such a great human being … he's my heart."
