Royal Baby Car Seat, $200, Swaddle Cloth, $50: Both Sell Out After Kate Middleton Appearance

The royal baby has already made his first road trip. Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton took their newborn son on his first trip Wednesday with details of the baby's new gear already surfacing on the Internet.

What does he look like? What kind of blanket did he have? How did Kate Middleton look? All questions people across the world have been asking since Prince William's first son was born on Monday. On Wednesday the couple took their baby on his first road trip.

Driving of in a black Range Rover, the new parents made one of their first appearances since leaving St. Mary's hospital on Tuesday. Middleton was seen wearing a blue summer dress with sunglasses, her brunette hair tied back in a ponytail. The couple was driven by an unidentified male, according to E! News.

The brand new baby was carried in an all black Britax Baby-Safe Car Seat. Similar car seats sold for an estimated $135 online. Higher end models can go for over $200.

The couple chose Aden + Anais swaddle cloths to wrap the infant. A four pack of the cloths that include a bird print similar to the one used to keep the future king of England warm was price at around $50 on Amazon.

Known as the "Kate Effect," it appears that her son may have a similar impact on clothing. Stores began to sale out of the swaddle cloths as soon as photos of Middelton's son covered with one surfaced on the Internet, according to The Telegraph.

Aden + Anais was very pleased with the couple's selection.

"We are truly grateful and so delighted that the couple chose to debut the prince in aden + anais, it is such an honour!" founder Raegen Moya-Jones said. "We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge many congratulations on the birth of their son."
