"American Horror Story: Hotel," which premiered last night, is set at a hotel in Los Angeles wherein some murders have been committed. There are a lot of strange things about the hotel, including the presence of vampires and kinky ghosts. Gaga plays the role of "The Countess," the owner of the five-star hotel, who is infected with an "ancient blood virus," the report details.

Murphy revealed that "American Horror Story" season 5 is more "paranoid" and "claustrophobic" compared to the previous installations. It features hiding creatures in enclosed buildings, like a hotel.

Lady Gaga is not the only celebrity star who played guest roles in "American Horror Story." Max Greenfield, Eric Stonestreet, and Matt Bomer have also had their stints in the disturbing horror series, M Starz reports.

"American Horror Story" is the series with the highest ratings on FX. While the network still has not announced the setting and plot for season 6, the new installation is expected to still feature a different story involving the same cast members. Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Even Peters are among those featured in season 5.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
