Samsung Announces New Notebook 9 Laptops to Arrive in the US Next Year

Samsung recently announced the upcoming release of the new Notebook 9 laptops that are slated to arrive in the United States next year.

Several days ago, Samsung announced the upcoming release of three new versions of the Notebook 9 due in 2018 - the 13.3-inch Samsung Notebook 9, the 15-inch Samsung Notebook 9, and the 13-inch Samsung Notebook 9 Pen.

All three new models of the Notebook 9 will be powered by an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 chip and will sport 16 GB random access memory. However, the new Notebook 9 variants will have different storage capacities: 512 GB for the 13-inch model and 1 TB solid-state drives for both the 13.3-inch and 15-inch laptops.

The new laptops will also have an integrated Intel HD graphics card while the 15.5-inch model may also sport an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GDDR5 GPU with 2 GB memory instead. But all of the new Notebook 9 products will support a Full High-Definition 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.

For other features, all of the Notebook 9 laptops to be released in 2018 will sport a fingerprint sensor and a backlit keyboard. For its design, Samsung obviously considered portability and durability. The new laptops will be built with a "full metal chassis with premium magnesium aluminum – lighter than aluminum – alloy called Metal12."

As for the laptops' battery performance, Samsung said: "The device also provides always-on power thanks to the 75Wh Hexacell battery, Samsung's largest and most powerful battery placed inside a notebook. For the times when charging is necessary, it also supports fast charging."

Meanwhile, Samsung also revealed that the Notebook 9's stylus pen "is battery free, built into the device and designed for immediate use."

The new lineup of Notebook 9 laptops will first become available in Korea this month while consumers in the United States can expect these products to arrive within the first quarter of 2018.

Samsung has also confirmed that these new laptops will be presented during the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
