'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: A Shocking Confrontation Ahead

The upcoming episode of "Scandal" season 5 is expected to bring a shocking confrontation.

After revealing that Olivia, played by Kerry Washington, was sleeping with Jake, fans are curious to see just how Huck will take on the news. Because of this, fans are hoping to see Olivia and Huck go head-to-head to discuss the matters.

Meanwhile, there is also the question as to how Mellie and Olivia's newfound partnership will work out, despite all that happened between them and Fitz. The previous episodes of the series saw President Fitz divorcing Mellie, in order to pursue his affair with Olivia. However, it seemed as though Olivia and Fitz did not receive their happy ending, as they broke up during the midseason finale of the series.

As for Fitz, the actor who plays the role recently spoke to Parade about what his character will be up to in the episodes to come. Tony Goldwyn explained that Fitz will have to face some challenges alone, since his other companion is distracted by other affairs.

Goldwyn stated, "I can tell you that Fitz is all alone, Olivia is trying to move on with her life, I am not sure what that means. Mellie is gearing up to run for president, and the presidential campaign is beginning to generate momentum. Some other candidates emerge, who challenge Mellie, in addition to some Democratic candidates, so all the characters get very interested in that, including Cyrus, Sally Langston (Kate Burton) and some others."

However, it was revealed that Fitz will have one friend to turn to — Abbey. Fitz will be finding his support from Abbey, who happens to be close to Olivia. With that, fans are expecting him to try to find a way to get back with Olivia through Abbey.

"Scandal" season 5 airs every Thursday nights on ABC.
