'Scream Queens' Season 2 Update: Four New Male Cast To Be Added; Nick Jonas Returning?
American television series "Scream Queens" has been renewed for season 2 and fans are excited to know more about it. Fortunately, the online web is never short of updates and inside scoops about the series. According to E! Online, the fans are going to be seeing fresh faces when the show returns.
Series creator Ryan Murphy is said to add four new male cast members who will all be playing doctors. The said actors are hinted to be in their late 20s, early 30's. Many are expecting that the additional cast members are going to be those who have already established their names in Hollywood just like how Murphy has featured big names in the show's first season.
The hint about the new characters in the show also implied that season 2 of the series will be swerving away a little from the college campus setting and will be bringing in hospital scenes. Four cast members from the first season are also set to return to the second installment but the names have not been announced yet. However, it's greatly expected that Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis are returning.
There are rumors though that said that Nick Jonas may return. According to a recent interview with The Wrap during the Sundance 2016, the 23-year-old singer-actor talked about the possibility of returning to the sophomore season of the sorority horror series as Boone Clemens.
"I don't know. I think I'm dead for real this time. So I don't know if I'm coming back," Jonas said. But he mentioned that there's always a possibility of a twist since Murphy is into that. "Ryan Murphy is always full of surprises so maybe I'll [still] end up on the show," he said.
As detailed in Design and Trend, Jonas' character, Boone, faked his death in season 1 episode 2. He was revealed to be an ally of the Red Devil but in episode 9, a double-crossing happened and Boone was ultimately killed.
"Scream Queens" season 2 is slated to return to Fox this fall.
