Lieutenant David Lloyd, a spokesman for East Coast-based Navy Special Warfare Group 2 has told Reuters that the accident took place when a Humvee overturned at about 9.30 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

Authorities have confirmed that in addition to Kaloust, seven others received minor injuries, and six of the eight people traveling in the Humvee were U.S. Navy SEALS.

The cause of the overturning vehicle is unknown at this time, and investigations are currently ongoing to find out the reasons for the accident, Lloyd has confirmed to Reuters.

This is the second deadly accident during military training in the United States since just March. The previous event involved a mortar explosion, and killed seven marines. Eight other service members were also injured during that Nevada incident.
