Soy valiente is Spanish for "I am brave" and Gomez is seen sporting braided pigtails in the photo and wearing a bright orange swim suit. The photo garnered close to 1 million likes.

It is unclear what inspired the post however some fans were quick to link the message to Gomez's on-again romance with Bieber, 20.

The pair, who have dated on and off since 2011, split in April and reconciled in recent weeks. They have enjoyed a series of romantic dates in recent days, including a trip to the movies and a zoo outing, which for many fans is confirmation that they are working on their relationship.

"They were very affectionate with each other and they held hands throughout the day," a source told E! about the pair's zoo date in Los Angeles on Sunday.

On Friday, they enjoyed a dinner date at Hollywood hot spot Mastro's followed by a viewing of "Think Like a Man Too" at the Westfield Century City mall theater in Los Angeles.

"Justin's extremely doting on her, and there hasn't been one second where he hasn't been touchy-feely and sweet with her," a source told people.com. "They're pretty inseparable and very affectionate."

In a more recent Instagram post the "Come & Get it" singer complained about sinus problems. On Tuesday, she shared a photo which appeared to be taken from a doctor's office.

"Fabulously/intensely dealing with sinus problems. Clearly. #blamethe70sflarepants," Gomez captioned alongside the photo.

The actress was pictured wearing a denim jacket paired with grey crop top, white pants and aviator sunglasses.
