Shakira, Gerard Pique Hit With Split Rumors

Despite being targeted with split rumors, Shakira and Gerard Pique's relationship is still going strong.

Although it has been recently reported that Shakira and Pique have called it quits, a source close to the couple said they are not separated. "They have 100 percent not split," the insider told Us Weekly, noting the duo's relationship is as strong as ever.

Shakira's publicist also weighed in on the issue, telling HOLA magazine (via Daily Mail) that there is no truth to the reports about her client's split. "Shakira and Gerard Pique's relationship is still going strong. Everything is the same." The publicist went on to say the rumors are being spread by people "who want to harm Pique."

Shakira and Pique have been married for almost seven years. They are parents to four-year-old Milan and two-year-old Sasha. Rumors about the couple's split come after Pique was booed by fans when he was seen with the Spanish national soccer team on Monday. He received negative comments from the public after tweeting his support for Catalan independence after the controversial referendum was revealed last week.

While Pique prepared for the 2018 World Cup with his team in Spain, his spouse will also be working on her upcoming series of concerts. Back in June, Shakira announced that she will be having her first tour in almost six years. The El Dorado World Tour will feature the blonde beauty perform tracks from her latest album of the same name at over 30 different venues in the United States and Europe.

The tour scheduled begins Nov. 8 in Cologne, Germany and goes on until the end of 2017 in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and other countries in Europe. After taking a holiday break, Shakira will be back on stage to open her U.S. tour on Jan. 9, 2018 in Orlando.
