Sony PS4 News: More PS4 Exclusive Games Coming In 2016

Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, Worlwide Studios president, recently announced that 2016 will be a very good year to be a Sony PlayStation 4 owner. According to a report in Game Rant, Yoshida discussed Sony's plans for the current generation gaming console, including the introduction of "big titles" exclusive to the PS4.

The PS4, according to the report, is still the best-selling gaming console to date, and the company's 2016 plans are expected to push sales even further.

Yoshida announced that a new line-up of PS4 games will be coming, along with the release of the PlayStation VR, that will hopefully result in better console sales. He was quoted saying, "2016 marks an unprecedented rush of big titles for PS4. It's also the year of the long-awaited launch of PlayStation VR. It's the year PS4 users, and those who are on the fence on whether to buy it will absolutely think, 'it's good to have a PS4'."

According to the report, Sony is working on many PS4 titles that are considered to be "big titles" in the gaming industry. Some of these include "Persona 5," "Uncharted 4," and "The Last Guardian," "No Man's Sky," "Gravity Rush 2," "Street Fighter 5" and "Firewatch."

Another report in Gadgets 360 listed "Zero Dawn," as well as popular third-party games like FIFA and "Call of Duty." A good addition to the list is from the "Final Fantasy" series of games, such as "Final Fantasy 15" and the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, the latter of which is a PS4 timed exclusive.

In a Gadgets 360 report, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, Michael Ephraim, recognized that 2015 was not a year of big exclusives from Sony. The year was marked with Sony's collaboration with third party publishers such as Electronic Arts and Activision in order to bring big name games to the PS4. This collaboration resulted in exclusive additional content for PS4 owners.

The new year however should be focused on developing "big exclusives" as there is a demand for them among PS4 gamers.
