Sony Xperia Z4 Release Date, Rumors, Specs: Check Out First Alleged Render Of New Android Flagship

Since the year began, Sony fans have been looking forward to a brand new flagship from the Japanese manufacturer. However, both the CES and the MWC have come and gone, and still there are no high-end devices in sight.

However, a new report from Phone Arena claims that a new leaked image belongs to the unannounced Sony flagship.

The alleged press image came from newcomer leaker @OnLeaks and shows some of the device's features.

In the report, the new Sony Xperia Z4 will boast some subtle design changes and other minor improvements to keep the lineup fresh.

Based on previous reports, the Xperia Z4 will boast a 5.2-inch Triluminous display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and a 32GB built-in storage.

Other alleged features include the staple 20.7MP Sony-made sensor that supports a number of photography features such as OIS (optical image stabilization), panorama, ISO control, white balance presets, burst mode, smile detection, and many more.

In the rumors, the front of the device will come with a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

Like the previous Xperia Z lineup flagships from Sony, the Xperia Z4 is expected to come with a water-resistant body, as well as protection to dust.

In the report, the new Xperia Z4 could be a major upgrade over the Z3, which is actually what fans want from Sony.

Last year, the Japanese manufacturer released the Xperia Z3 with very few improvements from the Xperia Z2, which was announced earlier that year.

As a result, the Xperia Z3 did not quite make the impact it was expected to make.

Fortunately, Sony may have learned its lesson and will launch a fully-improved Xperia Z4 in the next couple of months.
