'Suicide Squad' News: Margot Robbie Talks About Will Smith
One of the "Suicide Squad" stars shared some interesting insight about her character.
With the film expected to release later this year, fans have been waiting to get more information about the upcoming film "Suicide Squad." The film is star studded, which includes Margot Robbie, who will be playing the role of Harley Quinn.
Robbie recently spoke to The Vine about her upcoming role in the film, which is expected to take the center stage in "Suicide Squad." It was revealed that she will be partnered up with Will Smith, who will be playing the role of Deadshot, all while joining the rest of the DC villains.
The actress expressed her excitement about the upcoming film and how she enjoyed working with Smith once again. She said, "I enjoyed working with Will so, so much that I was overjoyed when I heard that we would be working together again. I actually texted him when I heard he was in negotiations to be in Suicide Squad and kept peer-pressuring him, 'You'd better be taking this movie!' He obviously signed on for his own reasons… He's awesome on set and awesome off set. He's just a really, really good person."
Along with the horde of villains expected to appear in the upcoming film, it was said that Ben Affleck's Batman will also be seen in the film. It was previously reported that Bruce Wayne could be making a cameo in the upcoming film, as he is expected to take on The Joker.
However, recent reports revealed that his appearance in the film will be more than a cameo. The director of the film, David Ayer, spoke to USA Today about Batman's upcoming appearance. He said, "We made (Affleck) fight. He's awesome (as Batman)…. You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world."
"Suicide Squad" is expected to hit theaters this Aug. 5.
