Padalecki shared on Twitter that filming has begun for season 12, but there were no firm answers and details given yet on what's to expect in the upcoming season. Nerdist went to Misha Collins and asked details on what fans could expect on their latest season which made the Castiel hype alive. "Season 12 is actually going to feel like we're getting back to the show's roots, it's going to feel a lot like earlier season of the show, which I'm excited about," Collins revealed. "And the same really goes for my character in particular."

Castile has started becoming one of the favorite characters of the show when he was introduced during the earlier seasons, specifically in seasons 4 and 5. Castiel became Dean's saving grace who crossed Hell just to bring him back. Collin's character also became the devil's punching bag and came back and forth between being dead and being resurrected. His biggest struggle was trying to be human after losing his grace.

When season 11 was on its final episodes, Collins answered a fan after being asked about what he wants his character to be. He said that he would love to have the character's bad-ass warrior quality from the first two seasons when his character was introduced to the people. "But every time I have ever predicted or tried where things were going for the show or my character, I've been wrong," he said, expecting it not going to happen.

"But actually, as this season is unfolding, it feels like what is what's happening," Collins said. "Cas has got his mojo back. Finally. I'm so excited about that. I'm excited to see it unfold. I have a feeling that the fans won't be disappointed," he added.

Details will soon be provided and questions answered when "Supernatural" goes to San Diego for their annual Comic-Con. Season 12 of "Supernatural" will premiere on Oct. 13.
