'Supernatural' Season 13 Spoilers: Who Will Save Jack from Captivity?

Jack's (Alexander Calvert) situation will not be getting out of his scary prison in the second half of the current instalment of "Supernatural."

As shown in the last finale, Jack's attempt to bring back Mary (Samantha Smith) did not proceed as planned. He wanted to do this to win back Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) trust and show that he could control his powers properly. When Jack hired a dreamwalker named Kaia Nieves (Yadira Guevara-Prip) to help the Winchesters' mother, they had no way of knowing the kind of trouble they would deal with after.

Instead of getting Mary out, Kaia mistakenly trapped Jack inside the alternate world the other woman was in. Sam and Dean, on the other hand, got sent to a different universe. Kaia will definitely regret her mistake. She will want to save Sam and Dean herself, especially Jack. Co-executive producer Robert Berens hinted that the backdoor pilot, "Wayward Sisters," would see the dreamwalker unable to turn her back on the boys.

"Kaia just survived an incredibly traumatic incident, and Jack gave her hope that maybe her power didn't have to be as dark as she's been experiencing, but then what happens? A giant calamity occurs, so she's a reluctant ally of the girls. ['Wayward Sisters'] will shine a little light on Kaia's power, but if we go to series it will be a deeper dive. Her connection to this other place is actually very personal. She has a very dark and complicated relationship to this world," Berens said.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will introduce the characters who will be joining Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) in her journey to protect the regular folks from supernatural beings. She will take over Sam and Dean's role while they are gone. Mills will be working with Kaia, Patience Turner (Clark Backo), Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton), Sheriff Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster), and Alex Jones (Katherine Ramdeen).

"Supernatural" season 13 will return on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
