'Switched at Birth' Season 4 Spoilers: Bay Now Ready for Romance with Garrett

"Switched at Birth" season 4 is set to bring a major change in Bay's romantic life, and the next episode will show her being ready to leave Emmett for good.

In the upcoming episode of "Switched at Birth," Vanessa Marano's character, Bay, will finally be ready to hook up with Nyle DiMarco's Garett and forget Emmett (Sean Berdy). However, there are rumors saying the Bay-Garett romance may not have a happy ending, according to Realty Today.

In a recent interview with Talk Nerdy With Us, Marano revealed that her character in "Switched at Birth" is a "hot mess." The next season will show Bay trying to piece her life back together and start a new life in California after her breakup with Emmett, who, in turn, is moving on with a new love in the person of Skye, Yibada reports.

For Marano, the Bay-Emmett relationship is an ironic one. Although the two have a beautiful chemistry and Bay did not consider Emmett's deafness as a liability in their relationship, they always end up hurting each other, the report relays.

"That's beautiful and romantic. But when they're actually together they just end up hurting each other which is terrible," Yibada quotes Marano.

Bay has been through some rough times in the romantic aspect of her life. After what happened with Tank (Max Adler) and her split with Emmett, she might be eager to jump into another relationship, based on the promotional trailer for "Switched at Birth" season 4 episode 18. But her friends are against her decision, and she ends up arguing with Travis (Ryan Lane), the report details.

Aside from the trials in the romance department, Bay's life took another blow when she got involved in a sexual assault case. Earlier in season 4, she took the blame for Daphne's (Katie Leclerc) mess.

"Switched at Birth" season 4 episode airs every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
