'Switched at Birth' Season 5 News: Bay and Daphne Try To Help John and Kathryn?

The upcoming season of "Switched at Birth" is looking to make fans laugh and cry at the same time as spoilers reveal that the switched ladies will try to bring their warring parents together again.

In the previous season, Bay (Vanessa Marano) received a phone call telling her and Daphne (Katie Leclerc) to pack their bags and return home. Something could be very wrong, and while it is unclear if an impending peril of the home will cause the two to fly back, it is expected that the two will be heavily bothered by the news.

The ladies left home to somehow find a breath of fresh air, following some emotional rides in season 4, but it seems the struggles are piling up as rumors suggest that their parents, Kathryn (Lea Thompson) and John (D.W. Moffett), will be deciding to have a divorce.

At the moment, details on season 5's plot are very scarce so most of the news are merely speculation. On the other hand, a Kennish divorce could also be possible since fans saw a downfall between the couple in the previous episodes.

If a divorce is really at hand, it is expected that Bay and Daphne will intervene between their parents and they will try to get them back together again.

Other reports suggest that instead of a divorce, the phone call to alert the ladies to fly back home is about John's worsening condition. As fans already know, he was having heart problems in the previous season and it is also possible that he will need more than medication to get well.

There is also the possibility of good news. It could be that Daphne will finally get her chance to become a doctor and she might even be the one to help John get the treatment he needs.

To find out what the phone call in season 4 was all about, make sure to watch "Switched at Birth" season 5, which is scheduled to start airing in April on Freeform.
