'Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai' Spoilers, News: Doga Kobo Releases New Details About Upcoming Anime Original Romantic-Comedy Series
New details have been released about the upcoming Japanese anime original series, "Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai (Tada Does Not Fall In Love)," which is due out in 2018. The anime series will reportedly be a romantic comedy between featuring a boy with no prior experience in romance and a girl from Luxembourg.
Anime studio Doga Kobo has earlier released details about the staff members working on the series, which mostly consist of creative people who have previously worked on the anime adaptation of the four-panel romantic comedy webcomic, "Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun)."
Now, further details about the series have been released, describing it as a slapstick romantic-comedy designed to make its viewers laugh and cry.
The story will focus on a boy named Mitsuyoshi Tada, who has never been in love. It is while taking photos of the cherry blossoms in full bloom that he first meets a transfer student from Luxembourg named Teresa Wagner, who just got lost and separated from her travel companion.
Their story begins when Mitsuyoshi decides to help Teresa and brings her to his grandfather's coffee shop.
Information about the characters has also been released. Mitsuyoshi, who will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, is a second-year high school student who works part-time at his grandfather's coffee shop. He wants to be a photographer like his father and has thus joined the photography club at school. Despite being quiet and reserved, he genuinely cares for his friends.
On the other hand, the blond-haired, green-eyed Teresa, who will be voiced by Manaka Iwami, is also in her second year in high school and has a bright and docile personality, which is further enhanced by her bright smile. She is also obsessed with a particular Japanese historical drama.
Other characters include Mitsuyoshi's childhood friend, Kaoru Ijuuin (Mamoru Miyano), Teresa's fellow transfer student, Alexandra Magritte (Shino Shimoji), and the head of the photography club, Hajime Suzamoto (Yuichiro Umehara).
"Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai (Tada Does Not Fall In Love)" will be directed by Mitsue Yamazaki, with Yoshiko Nakamura taking care of series composition and Junichirou Taniguchi working on the character design.
