Taylor Swift News 2015: Twitter, Facebook Accounts Hacked
Taylor Swift's social media accounts were hacked on Tuesday, Jan. 27, by a group of hackers who threatened to release nude photos of the singer in exchange for bitcoins. However, Swift said that there were not any nude pictures and even taunted the perpetrators, telling them to "have fun" photoshopping.
On Tuesday, several posts appeared on Swift's Twitter account, instructing her more than 50 million fans to follow members of the Lizard Squad, specifically @lizzard and @veriuser.
Us Weekly reports that a person from Swift's team immediately took down the tweets, but the hackers claimed that they have gotten hold of the singer's nude pictures. As of Tuesday afternoon, the accounts of @lizzard and @veriuser were suspended by Twitter.

According to the website, the Lizard Squad is a group of hackers who claimed that they were behind the Internet shutdown in North Korea after the Sony leak and hacking scandal. They also claimed responsibility for taking down the PlayStation and Xbox Live gaming networks and were reportedly responsible for Monday evening's Facebook and Instagram issues.
It was reported that Swift's Instagram account was also hacked. The singer then took to her Tumblr page to address the hacking.
"My twitter got hacked but don't worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment," she wrote.
She also thanked her friend, Hayley Williams of Paramore, for informing her firsthand about the hacking.
"I'd like to acknowledge the MVP of the day, @yelyahwilliams, for being the first to text me about the hack this morning," she wrote.
To the hackers, Swift had this to say: "PS any hackers saying they have nudes? Psssh you'd love that wouldn't you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING."
