'Teen Mom 2' News: Briana DeJesus Slams Javi Marroquin's Dating Claim
Briana DeJesus has denied Javi Marroquin's claim that they are dating.
The "Teen Mom 2" star recently set the record straight and said she and her co-star are not an item. "Nothing is going on," DeJesus told E! News, with her rep noting they are just friends. DeJesus also tweeted that she is "about to change [her] number and go ghost."
Despite the TV star's denial, a source revealed to Us Weekly that the duo is indeed in a relationship. Romance rumors involving Marroquin and DeJesus started surfacing in September when they were spotted out to dinner in New York City. A week later, they went to Disney World with their kids.
DeJesus' statement comes after Marroquin confirmed their relationship to PEOPLE. "We are dating," Marroquin said. "We've been friends for a while and we weren't in a rush." He went on to say that they "decided to make it official" after filming the MTV show's reunion special.
Although that was the first time Marroquin talked about their relationship, the duo has been dropping hints about their romance on social media. They have been sharing several photos of them together with playful captions.
Marroquin was married to "Teen Mom 2" star Kailyn Lowry in 2012. They share a son named Lincoln, but eventually called it quits just a few years later. During their time together, Marroquin also served as stepfather to Lowry's son Isaac, whom she shares with Jo Rivera. Lowry's third child, whom she shares with Chris Lopez, was born this summer.
Meanwhile, Radar Online points out that the conflict between Lowry and DeJesus continue to intensify. Lowry blamed DeJesus for causing the "Teen Mom 2" ratings to plunge, but the latter insisted ratings have actually been "very good" since she joined the MTV series for its eighth season. The media outlet has confirmed that Lowry was correct since the show's numbers have started plummeting since the season 8 premiere aired.
