'Teen Wolf' Season 6 Teaser, Spoilers and Updates: The Trailer for Season 6 Just Dropped; What are the Ghost Riders?

The new trailer for MTV's "Teen Wolf" Season 6 is now out, and it's chilling, to say the least. A teary-eyed Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) urges the love of his life, Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) to "find some way to remember me," as he is taken away by faceless horsemen who have the power to erase entire existences from memory. But before all this, Stiles finally manages to say what "Teen Wolf" fans have been waiting for him to say: "Remember I love you," he tells Lydia, before he is whisked away.

With Stiles gone, the tone and theme for "Teen Wolf's" final season is set. The rest of Beacon Hills struggle to keep Stiles in their memory, and even Lydia lapses at first when she forgets who she was supposed to meet with. But then his best friend Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) figures out that they're all missing the same person, and eventually rallies to "save his friends and everyone."

Who does remember Stiles?

Back in wherever dimension he is in, Stiles remains optimistic that someone will eventually remember him. But Peter Hale convinces him that they simply don't exist.

But the most gut-wrenching part is when Stiles' own father, Sheriff Stilinski, doesn't even remember him at all. The "Teen Wolf" Season 6 trailer showed a teary-eyed Lydia making a case for the sheriff to at least try to remember. Why should he bother, he asks her angrily. "Because you loved him," Lydia begs him, clutching Stiles' old sweatshirt.

The new "Teen Wolf" Season 6 trailer also seems to hint at Lydia being the key to Stiles' salvation from obliteration. After all, she's the one personally making the cases to Stiles' loved ones. But the clue lies in a brief flashback to when Lydia kissed Stiles to calm him down during a panic attack. Does this have something to do with true love? (Hopefully not, because that would stray from the vision of a darker, edgier "Teen Wolf" Season 6, says Tyler Posey).

Who are the Ghost Riders?

Then again, it's important to understand who are the creatures that took Stiles away. According to Jeff Davis, "Teen Wolf" showrunner, they are part of a Wild Hunt that passes through the town and make unsuspecting townfolk part of the hunt. There's an unlimited number of Riders, and they have the power to wipe an entire person from existence. What's worse, Tyler Posey added, is that they don't really have a goal, but are rather like henchmen that reap danger to the town they're stuck in.

Fans will find out soon enough how badly they're upturned Beacon Hills. "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will return to the screens on Nov. 15, Tuesday.
