Teresa Giudice Prison News Update: Real Housewives of New Jersey Star Goes Skiing with Friends as Sentence Looms

Teresa Giudice is making the most of her final days of freedom as the date of her prison sentence looms near.

According to E! Online, the Giudice family celebrated a quiet and intimate Christmas at home with only relatives and close friends. It was reported that the Teresa and Joe's presents for the girls were not over the top and completely normal, compared to past holidays.

"For Teresa, it's all about savoring this time with the people she loves," said an insider to E! Online. "I think she's going to spend every last minute she can with her family."

On Friday, Dec. 26, Teresa and Joe went to iPlay America to see daughter Gia, 13, perform with her singing group, 3KT. 3KT, which stands for three carat diamonds, also includes Gia's friends Alex Maetta, 16, and Christianna Cardinale, 14. Teresa was excited for the event as she tweeted on Dec. 23, "Me and Joe are so proud of our Gia can't wait to see her and the girls perform on Friday."

"The 3KT show was great for them," said a source to E! News. "Teresa, Joe, and all their girls were there plus Joe's brother and his family. It gave everyone something happy and fun to focus on. It lifted their spirits. [Gia's younger sister] Milania already wants to follow in her sister's footsteps and keeps asking when she can join a girl group."

On Saturday, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star took her children to the Crystal Springs Resort and Spa in New Jersey for a day of skiing. People.com reports that the 42-year old chatted with friends while her daughters took to the slopes.

Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison back in October after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and other charges. She is expected to arrive at Danbury prison to begin her sentence on or before Jan. 5, 2015.
