'The Affair' Season 2 Episode 10 Spoilers: Alison and Scotty Consider 'Business' Deal

Alison (Ruth Wilson) meets her former brother-in-law, Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell), again, and discuss a possible "business" deal.

The Lockharts are not happy that Noah (Dominic West) dished their whole family in his recent book, which is titled "Descent," and Scotty wants to get a fair share of the earnings from the success of the novel.

The book is a semi-autobiographical novel written by Noah, and tells the story of his affair with Alison. The Lockharts were included to add more drama in the story, which is why Scotty and even Cole (Joshua Jackson), Alison's ex-husband, are both upset with Noah, for dragging their family's name down.

According to the International Business Times, Scotty, who's possibly the father of Alison's daughter, has been desperate financially, and wants Alison to tell Noah that he should give their family the money that is due to them.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Nixon, who got famous portraying Miranda from "Sex and the City," will appear in the next episode of the show. According to Variety, she will play Noah and Alison's couple's therapist named Marilyn Sanders. The Manhattan-based therapist is said to be helping Noah and Alison, who are now both struggling with their relationship.

In the sneak peek released for the next "The Affair" episode, Noah was seen in a therapy session with Marilyn. She is asking him if he got attracted with other individuals during his marriage with Helen (Maura Tierney), and if he had done something about it. Noah said he was faithful to Helen, except for Alison. The therapist pushed more information on why he is afraid to cheat again, and asked if he's really afraid of cheating again because he already did it before. Noah then confessed to the therapist that he almost cheated again, and this time, it's with his publicist Eden (Brooke Lyons). Fans are curious on how the session will end, and if Noah finally realizes what he'll do.

The synopsis of the upcoming episode reads, "Noah grapples with questions. Alison considers a harrowing possibility."
