'The Affair' Season 2 Episode 10 Spoilers: Noah Seeks Therapist's Help Almost Cheating on Alison
Noah (Dominic West) almost cheated on Alison (Ruth Wilson) with his publicist, Eden (Brooke Lyons), and the best-selling author seeks the help of a therapist to have some answers.
Noah was seen talking to a therapist, Marilyn, portrayed by Cynthia Nixon ("Sex and the City"), and he tells her that he almost cheated, again. In the sneak peek released for the next episode, Noah tells Marilyn about his previous marriage with Helen (Maura Tierney), and his affair with Alison while he was still married with Helen. He tells the shrink that he was faithful to Helen all throughout their marriage, with the exception of Alison, but he admits that he got attracted to other ladies. At the end, he says that he's a "terrible, terrible, bad guy."
Marilyn tells him that his fear of cheating again is just normal, according to the International Business Times (IBT), since his relationship with Alison started with an affair. The two's relationship right now is also rocky, thanks to Noah's busy schedule involving touring around for his book and attending parties, which left Alison alone most of the time, and ever more alone when she gave birth, as seen in the last episode. Fans wonder if Noah's time with the couple's therapist will help him and Alison get through this current crisis in their relationship.
Meanwhile, viewers saw Alison chatting with Scott (Colin Donnell), Cole's (Joshua Jackson) brother and the possible father of Alison's baby. In another report by IBT, the website said that Scott forced Alison to talk to him and demanded her to get Noah to pay his family for demeaning them in his book, especially now that they have a financial crisis. Alison was also seen talking to Cole, her former husband, and fans are curious what the two will discuss during their meeting.
