'The Affair' Season 2 Spoilers: Noah Tries to Kill Helen's Mom

"The Affair" season 1 ended with a major shocker nine months ago, and fans have been anxiously waiting for the second season of the hit Showtime series.

Apparently, the network does not want fans to suffer anymore until the new season premieres this Sunday. Showtime just announced on Twitter last Friday, without any warning, that it has released the full premiere episode of "The Affair" season 2 online.

Season 1 ended with Noah (Dominic West) being arrested for Scotty's murder (Colin Donnell). Viewers also discovered that Noah had actually written a best-selling novel, and is earning well for it. He and Alison (Ruth Wilson) are now both living a luxurious life.

According to International Business Times, Scotty's mysterious death will still be unraveled this season. Fans will also see the show introducing Helen's (Maura Tierney) narrative, as well as Cole's (Joshua Jackson) this season, since the previous season mainly focused on Noah and Alison's point of view.

This season, during Helen's perspective, it will be revealed that she is sleeping with Noah's best friend, Max (Josh Stamberg), in order to deal with her divorce from her husband. The website also said that Max will be featured more this season as Helen's lover. Fans will have to watch out on how Noah will react once he knows that his best friend is sleeping with his soon-to-be-ex-wife.

Meanwhile, Noah will pick up his belongings from his previous house, but he sees Margaret (Kathleen Chalfant), his ex-mother-in-law, instead. Margaret purposely annoys Noah, which causes the latter to snap and will try to kill her. Just as he tries to push Margaret down the stairs, and make it look like an accident, Noah's son walks out of his room. Things are still going to be difficult between the two this upcoming season.

The new season of "The Affair" will air every Sunday on Showtime.
