'The Affair' Season 3 Update: Premiere Date Not Yet Confirmed, Noah and Helen to Rekindle Love?
American television drama series "The Affair" left the small screen with a major cliffhanger season 2 finale episode. Now fans are waiting for the third season to find out what will happen next to the complicated lives of the characters.
However, fans will have to be a little patient since Showtime, the network that airs the series, has not made any announcement yet on when it will return for season three. International Business Times noted that the show has been renewed in December 2015 together with "Homeland."

Before season two wrapped up, viewers learned that the death of Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell) was one big, tragic accident. It finally revealed the events that took place during the night he got killed. Apparently, Noah (Dominic West), Alison (Ruth Wilson) and Helen (Maura Tierney) were somehow involved with it. And now Noah will have to face jail time because he has taken the blame for the death of Scotty.
As reported in Ecumenical News, the season finale episode saw Noah confessing that Scotty's death was caused by him because he caressed his ex-wife, Helen's, hand while driving. In response, Helen took off her eyes off the road which led to accidently hitting Scotty. But as for Alison, she believes that she was responsible for his death when she pushed away an intoxicated Scotty straight into Noah's car after trying to rape her.
For the record, it was self-defense for Alison. It just so happens that his death will irreversibly change the lives of people, especially Noah.
Noah took the blame for Scotty's death in order to protect Helen. This leaves fans wondering if the relationship of the two will ever be fixed. Before the accident, the estranged lovers met up in a bar and had a good talk about their lives. It wasn't just any good talk though as it seemed like the two could have a chance of patching things up. Will the two rekindle their love? Will they be back in each other's arms?
