'The Bachelor' Spoilers: Episode 5 Recap News, Jordan Asks for a Second Chance

On last Monday's episode of "The Bachelor," Jordan shows up to beg for a second chance, Kelsey shares the story of her late husband, one contestant had a meltdown, and Chris Soules, emotional at the past weeks' events, cancelled the cocktail party and did not send anybody home.

Carly went on a one-on-one date with Chris in which they were guided by an intimacy instructor. After things started getting uncomfortable for Carly, she called for a time out. Chris gives Carly a rose, and he thinks that she is definitely wife material.

At the cocktail party that night, Jordan shows up at the mansion, hoping for a second chance after she was eliminated during the second episode. It can be recalled that Jordan had some embarrassingly drunken moments prior to her elimination. Chris was strongly considering giving her a second chance, but this decision proved to be very unpopular for the rest of the girls. In the end, Chris sent Jordan home again. For handling the situation with class and grace, Chris gave Whitney a rose.

The next day, Chris snuck into Britt's room and woke her for a hot air balloon date. The other ladies wondered how sincere Britt is, and one of them claimed that Britt is in no rush to get married and start a family.

After Chris' date with Britt, Kelsey heads straight to Chris' hotel room and tells him that she is a widow.

"This is the unfolding of somebody who's been through something so tragic, and you can get to watch her pick up the pieces and grow into another person and into another relationship," she tells the cameras.

After his conversation with Kelsey, Chris became so emotional that he had to leave the room. The other bachelorettes were very upset with Kelsey, and Cary believes that Kelsey told her story to Chris so that he wouldn't send her home. Later, host Chris Harrison tells the ladies that the cocktail party has been cancelled.

Kelsey, who was so nervous because she thought she was going to be eliminated, excuses herself. She collapses into a nervous breakdown and received medical attention as she cried and had difficulty breathing. The other ladies look on in mixed annoyance and shock.

"The Bachelor" airs Mondays at 8 pm on ABC.
