'The Bold Type' Season 2 News: Fans Speculate on What Might Happen in Upcoming Season; New Showrunner Takes Over

"The Bold Type" has been renewed for two more seasons, and fans are already speculating what happens next when the show returns. Meanwhile, a new showrunner will be taking over "The Bold Type" for season 2.

Plot details for what happens next in "The Bold Type" when season 2 returns have not been announced yet. However, fans are already anticipating a few things that could happen when the show finally returns in Freeform.

One thing that could happen in season 2 is Jane (Katie Stevens) returning to Scarlet right after quitting from there. According to IB Times, Jane should realize that there will be always ups and downs in every job and that she gave up on Scarlet too quickly.

Fans also want to see more of the complicated situation that Sutton (Meghann Fahy) and Richard (Sam Page) are in. The two broke up in season 1 to save their jobs at Scarlet. However, both Sutton and Richard still have strong feelings for each other, and it would be a lot more fun if they continued their relationship despite breaking the rules at Scarlet.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that producer and writer, known for "Gossip Girl," Amanda Laser will take over series creator Sarah Watson's place as showrunner for "The Bold Type."

Watson is dropping the show after having creative differences with the network, but the executive vice president in programming and development at Freeform, Karey Burke, ensures that they will continue to uphold what the show stands for.
