'The Expendables 4' Cast Rumors: 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin to Return?

Sylvester Stallone and his independent team are expected to start production very soon, and with the set prepping "The Expendables 4," rumors about other stars joining the indomitable cast are hot these days.

One of the hottest names being linked to the movie is professional wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He was a villain in the first movie, and his performance was praised by many fans and moviegoers who knew him from the WWF and WWE.

There is a good chance that Austin will make a comeback since he proved to be an effective character in the first movie. Also, he will be a good foe for Hulk Hogan, who reportedly couldn't refuse Stallone when he was offered a role in the fourth installment.

Two wrestlers butting it out in one of the most-awaited films of 2017 would be something to look forward to, aside from the fact that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also rumored to be in the movie.

Meanwhile, Pierce Brosnan is hot in multiple outlets after rumors emerged that he confirmed participation in the film. It is expected that the former James Bond's addition to the power cast would boost the interest of fans.

The third film wasn't very much welcomed by the masses, especially after the movie was leaked even before it hit the big screens. On the other hand, it is rumored that the fourth installment will definitely be more successful than the third, now that other colorful actors and wrestlers are set to join the cast.

Jason Statham has confirmed that he will be back, as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger, while it is yet unclear if Terry Crews and the rest of the team will be back. It is still too early to say if Ronda Rousey will be back for the fourth movie since she is said to go on a hiatus after her loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. The movie will require her to be in action, which is something she obviously can't engage in at the moment.

"The Expendables 4" is scheduled to release sometime in 2017.
