'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Reverse-Flash To Return, Killer Frost Makes Her Presence Felt
The hit superhero series on The CW, "The Flash," will be not be returning to the small screen until January 19, 2016. The coming start of the mid-season, as shown in the show's recent promo, will bring with it so many changes, as well as new villains who Team Flash will need to battle with. According to a report in TV Line, the second half of the season will see the rise of Killer Frost and the return of Reverse-Flash.
In the promo titled "Everything Will Change," fans got a glimpse of Killer Frost, the alter ego of Dr. Caitlin Snow, played by Danielle Panabaker. She is seen in the trailer saying "It's so much more fun to be bad." What is not apparent in the trailer, however, is which Dr. Snow will be showing her evil side – the Earth-1 or the Earth-2 Dr. Snow.
Another scene in the promo also shows the return of Reverse-Flash or Eobard Thawne, who is played by Matt Letscher. He is Barry's (Grant Gustin) archenemy who will once again threaten one of the members of S.T.A.R. Labs and will force Barry to "make a life-changing decision," according to an Entertainment Weekly report. The report said that the character may be different from the original Reverse-Flash character from a different Earth, because Letscher's Eobard Thawne was killed in the show's previous season. The return of the Reverse-Flash will be shown during the episode "The Reverse-Flash Returns."
The promo also showed Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) in a scene that seems to be set in a different Earth, as they are seen wearing retro clothes and with retro hairstyles. In the trailer, Team Flash is listening to a warning about "not being distracted by anything they see along the way," while they seem to be on their way to a different Earth.
The coming episode titled "Potential Energy" will air on January 19, at The CW.
