'The Flash' Season 4 Episode 10 Spoilers: The Thinker Plans Next Move to Destroy Barry
The Thinker will strike again while the iron is hot in the upcoming episode of "The Flash."
In the next episode of the CW series, the promo shows Barry (Grant Gustin) and his lawyer desperately trying to find a means to prove that he did not kill Devoe (Neil Sandilands). During the midseason finale, it was revealed that the Thinker, who is now inhabiting Dominic's (Kendrick Sampson) body, murdered Devoe by stabbing him with a gift in Barry and Iris' (Candice Patton) wedding. He set it up so that the red speedster would be blamed by the authorities for the crime.
In the clip, Barry's lawyer is telling him that the only way for him to clear his name is to admit he is the Flash. By confiding that he is a superhero, the court will see that he cannot possibly kill someone in cold blood. As expected, Barry does not wish to reveal his identity. So many things can go wrong once people realize who he really is. They have to find another way to get him out of prison and expose The Thinker's crime, but their options are limited.
The Thinker may be thinking of his next plan to destroy Barry. Now is a good time to cause more problems since the other is already struggling. Iris (Candice Patton) and the others can only wait for the villain's next attack, hoping that their forces will be enough to handle him. They also do not know that Dominic is now The Thinker's puppet. As far as they are aware, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) just saved him from Amunet (guest star Katie Sackhoff).
Caitlin was the reason why Team Flash was not able to support Barry in his previous fight with The Thinker. When she was abducted by Amunet at the same time Barry was fighting with the villain, Iris felt that Caitlin needed back up more. Iris is expected to blame herself for her husband's predicament. If they only went to Barry from the start, they might have stopped The Thinker from succeeding with his plans.
"The Flash" season 4 will return on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
