'The Mayor' Episode 6 Spoilers: Courtney Dates an Old Flame
Next week's episode of "The Mayor" will feature "Teen Wolf" alum Meagan Tandy. Titled "Will You Accept this Rose?," episode 6 will follow Tandy as she plays the role of Danielle, a significant person from Courtney's (Brandon Michael Hall) past.
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that Courtney will date someone from his past, someone with some hidden motives. It remains to be seen who that old flame is, but promo photos for the episode hint that it's Danielle, Tandy's character.
In the episode, Courtney will realize that hidden agenda still applies to dating even when he's already a public figure. Because of that realization, he will try to get some help from T.K. (Marcel Spears) and Jermaine (Bernard David Jones) so he can recreate a throwback prom-posal, as he hopes for a second chance with the lady he truly likes.

Spoilers for the upcoming episode also reveal that aside from Tandy, Arsenio Hall will also guest star as Rev. Ocho Okoye. The synopsis reveals that elsewhere in the episode, Okoye will try to recruit a timid Dina (Yvette Nicole Brown) as a church choir member, resulting in a poignant outcome.
As for the lady that Courtney "truly likes," there are speculations that it's Amber (Kali Hawk), who is also listed among the guest stars in episode 6. It can be recalled that in episode 5, Hawk's character made her debut as Transit Union lawyer Amber Powell. At the end of the episode, she gave Courtney her calling card, telling him that their relationship doesn't necessarily have to be all about business.
Based on the synopsis, the upcoming episode will focus on Courtney's love life. While there are speculations that Amber and Danielle might be two of those who will have some romantic connections with him, rumor also has it that one of his staff members, Val (Lea Michele), will also be entangled in this developing narrative.
"The Mayor" episode 6 will air today, Nov. 7, at 9:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
