'The Originals' Season 5 News: Candice King Teases Multiple Klaroline Episodes
Candice King's appearance on "The Originals" season 5 may be much longer than expected.
Fans already know that there will be a "Klaroline" reunion on the upcoming installment of "The Originals." The actress has already filmed two episodes of the show, but it looks like she is not yet done.
"They're still filming, and I may or may not be heading to Atlanta one more time," King told Us Weekly at the Pediatric Aids Foundation's A Time for Heroes 28th Annual Festival over the weekend. "So I'm just as much in the dark as all the fans are. It's been really fun to continue that storyline, knowing how much it meant to everyone that watched the show."
TV Guide notes King will possibly film at least one more episode featuring her character before "The Originals" ends its run. Although she did not reveal anything about her character Caroline's arc, King did share a teaser about season 7.
She mentioned that the majority of her scenes have been with Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus on the series. This means the "Klaroline" drought viewers have experienced the past few years might be over soon. "I can say that I worked a lot with Joseph Morgan," she continued. "The Klaroline fans will be very happy."
King's statement comes after it was confirmed that the fantasy drama is expanding its cast next season. The new character is named Landon, a romantic and thoughtful youngster who is determined to leave his troubled home and the southern town where it is located.
Landon is a full-blooded human but his shady past could lead him into the dangerous supernatural realm. He is set to make his first appearance toward the end of season 7. Since he is set to be introduced in the latter part of season 7, there is a huge chance he will be part of the planned Hope-centric spinoff as well.
"The Originals" season 5 premieres midseason 2018 on The CW. A definitive release date has yet to be announced by the network.
