Real Housewives of New Jersey News: Teresa Giudice Fired? Sheila Giudice Not Joining as Replacement
The future of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" has been questioned ever since one of its main stars, Teresa Giudice, was sentenced to 15 months in jail for bank fraud. Now that Teresa has been locked up for almost a month, there are rumors about who will be replacing her when the show premieres its new season this year.
New reports claim that Bravo is forging ahead with the upcoming season without Teresa and that the network is searching for a replacement for her as of the moment.
"The show will absolutely go on without Teresa," said a source to Radar. "No formal dates have been made for filming to begin because producers are still looking for potential cast members."
The news of a casting call appears to be confirmed by the fact that "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" casting director and producer Christina Caparoula took to Twitter on Jan. 26 and wrote, "Casting Season 7 of Real Housewives of New Jersey" followed by her email address.
One name that has been coming up lately as a possible cast member is Teresa's sister in law, Sheila Giudice. There are rumors that Sheila has been campaigning hard to take Teresa's place on the show.
However, an insider from Reality Tea says that Sheila does not want to be in the show.
"Sheila wants nothing to do with the show," said the source. "She never did and never will. She sticks up for Teresa out of loyalty and as the aunt to Teresa's children. Sheila and her family are helping and supporting Joe and the kids."
