The Shield Reuniting in 2015? WWE Rumors Persist

Is The Shield already planning a reunion? The trio of WWE superstars just "broke up," leaving room for new storylines for each of the three members, but rumors persist that the group will be brought back together in 2015 as part of their continuing story.

When Seth Rollins turned heel last month and unleashed his fury on partner Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, fans were stunned. Rollins began working with The Authority and doing their grunt work, mainly taking out the superstars Triple H ordered him to. Dean Ambrose went rogue and was so shocked by his former partner's actions that he became bent on revenge. He is still seeking that revenge and seemingly pops up out of nowhere anytime Rollins is in the ring.

At the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Rollins won the briefcase containing a contact guaranteeing him a match against the current WWE champion. However, before he could do much celebrating, he received a message from Ambrose: "The briefcase you have doesn't just contain a contract, it contains TNT." And when Rollins tried to cash in on an unconscious John Cena during Monday Night Raw, Ambrose came running and attacked Rollins, chasing him from the ring.

Perhaps the most popular member of The Shield, Roman Reigns, has had the most success with a solo career. Even though he did not take home the WWE championship, he will compete in a fatal 4-way match that will again put him in the running for the belt. He worked well with John Cena on Monday night but will have to face him during the fatal 4-way.

It's clear that Reigns really wants an opportunity to get his hands on Triple H, the mastermind behind The Shield's end. And he may get that opportunity, if rumors that Triple H is preparing to get back into the ring more often are true.

However, several rumors persist that the trio will be reunited by 2015 in the same way that DX was brought back together time and again. It could be too soon, though, for fans who are enjoying this time in the careers of Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns.
