Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the upcoming episodes will be seen through Enzo's perspective. He will be presenting a new world for the upcoming episodes as he struggles to fit into his new environment.

With that, the story will show his relationship with a character from his past. It was revealed that Mouzan Akkar will be taking on the role of Alex. However, it seems as though she is expected to bring trouble as well.

Dries stated, "She has ties to Enzo's backstory. As he's trying to find his place in the world, she comes in and says, 'Let me help you out with that.' Is she good? Is she bad? What's her bigger agenda? We'll pull back her layers as the season goes on."

With that, she will debut her character in the 14th episode of the season, and will continue appearing throughout the rest of the season.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will return with its midseason premiere titled "Hell Is Other People," this Jan. 29 on The CW.
