'The Voice' 2017 Spoilers: Kelly Rowland, Joe Jonas, Billy Ray Cyrus and Rascal Flatts Prepare Contestants for Performance
Popular music artists drop by to help contestants prepare for their numbers on the upcoming episode of "The Voice" season 13.
With the end of the blind auditions, the coaches are set to put final touches on their respective teams. Reports note that the biggest news in the season so far is Miley Cyrus and team of performers. The "Wrecking Ball" singer is the first coach in "The Voice's" history to have all-female members on her team following the Voice Blinds.
"The Battles Premiere, Part 2" will see the coaches enlist famous musicians — Kelly Rowland, Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus and Joe Jonas — to prepare their artists for the Battle Rounds. Two contestants from Jennifer Hudson's team will perform a Whitney Houston song, while Blake Shelton's team takes on a 90's rock hit. Adam Levine has two more steals left and he is on the hunt to get additional members on his team. Meanwhile, Shelton, Hudson and Cyrus are left with one steal each.
As previously announced, Kelly Clarkson will be joining "The Voice" for its next season in the spring. Her addition to the NBC show raised eyebrows since she was also considered to be a part of ABC's "American Idol" reboot.
Clarkson spoke with Variety on Tuesday and she said "The Voice" had been trying to have her on the show for years. Although she was already about to ink a deal with NBC, the singer said she still considered the "American Idol's" late offer.
"We let them come to the table, because it's my beginnings," Clarkson explained. "At the end of the day, I don't like being separate from my husband. Blake [Shelton] is his artist. We're all there. For 'American Idol,' you have to travel. And it excites me to do something different. I'm not going to lie: I'm stoked about pushing the red button."
"The Voice" season 13 airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
