'The Voice' News: Blake Shelton Is Sad To Be Without Gwen Stefani Next Season

Christina Aguilera has been confirmed to come back in the next season of "The Voice" and will be replacing the show's current coach, Gwen Stefani. Although the two singers have already been taking turns judging in their red seats for the past few seasons, Blake Shelton is not happy to see his girlfriend go after the end of "The Voice" season 9.

According to People, the country singer said, "I don't want Gwen to not be on the show." He even said that why can't "The Voice" have another judge, which will serve as the fifth coach. Adam Levine, one of the other coaches, also said that he'll miss Gwen, especially her stylish outfits. "I think Gwen has been a stand-out moment. Somehow, when Gwen walks in the room, we all look like we've been wearing the same outfit for 10 years," the Maroon 5 singer said.

Meanwhile, Inquistr said that Christina and Gwen's rotation in "The Voice" might become regular in the upcoming seasons. It was previously rumored that Gwen might take a permanent seat at the judges' panel, but it seems it was just all speculation. Fans wonder if the show's producers will really consider having Gwen as the fifth coach.

On the other hand, only four contestants remain in "The Voice," and they are Jordan Smith, Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts, and Jeffery Austin. Team Adam's Jordan Smith is the one on top since the singer was able to bag the no. 1 song on Apple's iTunes, who was originally being held by Adele, according to People.

Before auditioning for "The Voice," Jordan was a member of Lee University's Lee Singers, and was able to perform at President Obama's second inauguration, as well as at the Vatican. The website said that the 21-year-old artist originally auditioned for season 8, but unfortunately, he failed to make it. Jordan tried again this season, and the rest was history.

Watch the finale of "The Voice" season 9 next week on NBC.
