'The Voice' News: The Top 11 Proved They Deserve to Stay in the Competition
The remaining top 11 contestants battled it again on stage last night for a spot in the top 10 of "The Voice" season 9. Once again, the contestants proved to the coaches and the audience why they deserve to stay for another week in the competition.
Team Adam was first with Shelby Brown's performance of Lady Gaga's "You and I," and the teenager owned the song. Evan McKeel from Team Pharrell was next, and he killed his version of Nat King Cole's "Smile." He is one of the only two remaining contestants from Team Pharrell, so he and his coach worked hard to make his performance shine.
Barrett Baber from Team Blake was next, and the country singer performed "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker. Blake was cheering for him even before the song ended, and called the performance perfect. Korin Bukowski, who almost went home last week, was next, and the Team Gwen artist sang "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore. Celebrity Dirty Laundry pointed out that the singer is looking more like a mini-version of Gwen.
Amy Vachal put her own unique twist with her "cool" voice on Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," and the audience loved her performance. Zach Seabaugh was next, and the teenager sang "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not?" by Thompson Square. Hollywood Life called the teen "adorable," and said his performance made the ladies go "nuts."
Madi Davis was next, and the singer sang "Love is Blindness" by U2. The 16-year-old singer mesmerized the audience with her powerful performance. Next was Braiden Sunshine, and the 15-year-old Team Gwen artist sang the Spandau Ballet's "True." Despite his young age, he proved that he can sing big notes.
The crowd-favorite, Jordan Smith, was next, and he sang "Who You Are" by Jessie J. The singer definitely proved why he has always been the front-runner among the contestants with his incredible performance.
Following next is Team Blake's Emily Ann Roberts, and she sang The Judds' "Why Not Me." Once again, she slayed it, and Blake said she's going to be around for a long time. Last performance of the night was from Jeffery Austin, who sang "Dancing on My Own" by Robyn. Blake said to the Team Gwen artist that he could win the competition, which could make Gwen the first female coach to win in the show's history.
